We are partnering with a seed-stage health AI company based in Los Angeles, CA, building AI-driven platforms for early detection and management of chronic diseases such as diabetes and cardiovascular conditions. With around 30 employees and strong backing from top-tier healthcare investors, they are seeking a Health Data Scientist to build and deploy predictive models that will form the core of their clinical decision support products.

As a Health Data Scientist, you will work closely with machine learning engineers, clinicians, and product teams to design algorithms that can analyze large-scale health data, including EHRs and wearable device data. You will be responsible for developing models, validating performance in clinical settings, and contributing to the translation of data science into real-world applications. This role requires technical expertise as well as a strong understanding of healthcare workflows and regulatory standards related to health data.

The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree or PhD in Data Science, Biostatistics, Computer Science, or a related field, along with 3+ years of experience in health tech, biotech, or digital health environments. Proficiency in Python or R, strong background in machine learning methodologies, and experience working with healthcare datasets are essential. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and healthcare data privacy standards is highly desirable.
