Lead clinical development strategy across early-stage programs

Competitive salary + equity + hybrid flexibility
We are partnering with an early-stage biotech company based in Boston, MA, developing novel immuno-oncology therapies targeting the tumor microenvironment. With a team of around 90 employees and a strong scientific advisory board, the company is progressing its first candidate into IND-enabling studies and is seeking a Medical Director to lead early clinical development planning.
The Medical Director will be responsible for developing clinical protocols, designing study strategies, and serving as a key clinical voice across multidisciplinary teams. This individual will partner closely with translational science, regulatory, and external clinical investigators to drive early clinical decision-making and prepare for first-in-human trials. The role offers significant input into strategic development plans and scientific direction.
We are seeking an MD (or MD/PhD) with 5–8 years of experience in clinical development within biotech or pharma, ideally in oncology or immunotherapy. Previous IND submission experience and involvement in early-phase trials are highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration skills, and the ability to work in fast-paced, resource-constrained environments.
The company offers a competitive salary, equity participation, and hybrid work flexibility, with a Boston-based HQ. You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with top-tier scientists and leadership on advancing cutting-edge therapies in a high-impact environment.
